VETERANS CONDUCT BANNED WEAPONS SEARCH

At previous arms fairs, weapons have been for sale that contravene the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons (landmines, booby traps, incendiary weapons, blinding laser weapons) and the Convention on Cluster Munitions. Conventions that the UK is a signatory of.

There are reasonable grounds for suspecting that such weapons are being transported into the Excel Centre today.

As former members of the armed forces we are conducting a Vehicle Check Point to search vehicles entering the Excel Centre for weapons that contravene the Convention on Certain Conventional Weapons (landmines, booby traps, incendiary weapons, blinding laser weapons) and the Convention on Cluster Munitions.

    Hi Ben,

I met you and your colleague (really sorry that I can’t quite remember his name), yesterday on the train between New Cross Gate & Forest Hill on your way back from the Excel Centre.

I just wanted to say it was an absolute pleasure to meet you both and we covered a lot of topics during the short 5 minute journey. Having viewed most of your powerful talks on Youtube, it was truly inspirational to meet two TRUE heroes who are working hard to bring about a better world for this and more importantly future generations.

I’ve set up a standing order today to make £10 donation every month and hopefully I can get more involved in the future. It sounded like you did some amazing disruptive work yesterday.

Keep fighting the good fight against the real enemy!

    Carl

Here`s a joke to take your minds off the abhorrent nature of this issue…just for a little bit!

I live in the USA where arms is such an important issue that its even enshrined in the Constitution. Its relates to the right of all citizens and residents of the USA to wear short sleeved shirts…..yes, really, you see, the 2nd Amendment allows us the right to bare arms!

I always thought I should be on the stage….sweeping it!

  3. Very innovative idea, that ought to get peoples attention. Excellent work mates.

    Nice one!

great work, which will stir things up a bit, I hope. It is shameful that this country, so prosperous and so self-righteous, has to sell arms of any kind. The “good for employment” argument is pure bullshit ,of course, as the “defence” industry (“defence” is selling arms to Saudi Arabia etc ?) could be largely re-converted to peaceful industries. (Lucas Shop Stewards’ proposals c. 1980) When it comes to the most awful weapons, it must take a certain type of individual to market these things.
