ARTICLE: THE WAR ON TERROR BUSINESS AS USUAL.

Since the turn of the century, our society has prosecuted a long war across a number of countries. The public are aware of some elements of the war; other elements remain secret and concealed from view.

Air strikes, drone strikes, missile strikes, night raids, torture sites, internment camps, terrorist attacks, chemical attacks, sieges, invasions, and occupations are the tactics of this war.

If the aim of this war is to defeat terrorism, then it is an ongoing and spectacular failure, as the graph above illustrates.

If the aim of this war is to increase the status, power and wealth of individuals and institutions loyal to the War System, then it is an ongoing success story, and business as usual for our society.

The politicians get a place in history. The generals are promoted. The soldiers get medals. The arms dealers get sales. The bankers get profits. The corporations get access to resources and markets. The newspaper editors tell the story and the militarist on the street basks in the reflected glory of it all.

The death and destruction are external costs.

During this long war, opposing political factions have held power, each one has contributed to the perpetuation and expansion of the war, none have made a genuine effort to end the war. This “War on Terror” is just business as usual for a country dominated by the War System.

The mouthpieces of the War System muddy the waters:

• They vilify regimes for human rights abuses whilst feting others as important allies.

• They call for military action as the one-size-fits all solution to the complex problems we face in the 21st century.

• They respond to some attacks with screams of outrage whilst ignoring other attacks that would undermine claims to be better and more humane than others.

It does not have to be like this.

The War System relies on the daily participation of thousands and thousands of individuals to function. We can end this madness by refusing to participate at every level. It is time for us to abandon the War System.

END THE WAR ON TERROR,

ABANDON THE WAR SYSTEM!

Veterans For Peace UK is a voluntary ex-services organisation of men and women. Together we have served in every conflict the UK has fought in since WW2.

We say that war is not the solution to the problems we face in the 21st century and so through our words and actions we embolden ordinary people to abandon the War System.

The War System consists of all individuals and institutions that accept war and the preparation for war as a means to achieve status, power and wealth.

Jeremy Corbyn, during the debate on Trident renewal, June 2016:
“Mr Corbyn gave a defiant speech at the Despatch Box as he called Trident an “indiscriminate weapon of mass destruction” and said he would be voting against its renewal… I do not believe the threat of mass murder is an adequate way of dealing with international relations,” he added. “

    Where does he stand now?
    ….
I am often asked if as prime minister I would order the use of nuclear weapons…Labour is committed actively to pursue disarmament under the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and we are committed to no first use of nuclear weapons”.
And what does “no first use” mean? It means that his Labour Government (if elected) would use nuclear weapons and commit what he previously condemned as “mass murder”. And, just so as to avoid any misunderstanding, in the same paragraph, Jeremy corbyn goes on to state emphatically:
“But let me make this absolutely clear. If elected prime minister, I will do everything necessary to protect the safety and security of our people and our country. That would be my first duty….”
(Source: Jeremy Corbyn Chatham House speech, 12 May 2017 Source: The Spectator; https://blogs.spectator.co.uk/2017/05/jeremy-corbyns-chatham-house-speech-full-text/)
And just to be totally clear, he has signed up to fully endorse Trident in Labour’s manifesto which says:
“Labour supports the renewal of the Trident nuclear deterrent”.
(Source: Labour Party Manifesto 2017, page 122;http://www.labour.org.uk/page/-/Images/manifesto-2017/Labour%20Manifesto%202017.pdf).
He is now promoting support for what he once called an “indiscriminate weapon of mass destruction”. That is his policy now, whether or not there may be yet another Labour Party review on Trident in the future – a review which like the last one, Labour Party opponents of Trident cannot win due to the overwhelming support for Trident among Labour MPs and certain union leaders.
The signs of his accommodation with a pro-Trident policy were already visible back in March. When interviewed on The Andrew Marr Show, despite his considerable evasiveness, Jeremy Corbyn eventually confirmed he would instruct Trident submarine commanders to launch nuclear missiles.
“AM:… have to say something to the
commanders. You have to say fire or don’t fire. And you can’t
dodge it. You have to give them in those letters a strict
    instruction.
JC: A strict instruction, follow orders when given”.

    On the arms trade…
“Exports, trade and investment play a vital role in creating jobs and growth in Britain, and Labour supports the considerable contribution that a responsible, world-leading defence and security industry makes to the UK economy”. However, we also believe that strong export controls have a vital role to play in sustaining a legitimate trade in arms, while protecting UK jobs and R &D. (Labour Party Manifesto 2017, page 121)
    and
“The UK defence industry is world-leading, and Labour will continue to support development and innovation in this sector and to ensure that it can continue to rely on a highly skilled workforce. We are committed to a procurement process that supports the British steel industry and defence manufacturing industry, which in turn provide good jobs throughout the supply chain”. (Labour Party Manifesto 2017, page 122-3)
This is in no way a “foreign policy based on human rights and peace”.
Jeremy Corbyn stated after the Manchester terrorist attack that:
“We will also change what we do abroad. Many …have pointed to the connections between wars our government has supported or fought in other countries, such as Libya, and terrorism here at home…”. (Source: Jeremy Corbyn, speech Central London, 26.5.17, http://press.labour.org.uk/post/161089328659/jeremy-corbyn-speech)
But there has been no change to his manifesto to end Britain’s role as one of the biggest international arms dealers, fuelling foreign conflicts and endangering peace and security in Britain and the world.
The Labour Party and Jeremy Corbyn are fully endorsing British arms dealers, the merchants of death, as a “…world-leading defence and security industry…” and “…a legitimate trade in arms… protecting UK jobs and R &D.”
Here is just one example, of what Jeremy Corbyn calls a “responsible, world-leading defence and security industry”, in action:
“At present, two thirds of UK arms exports are going to the Middle East. Saudi Arabia is by far the largest buyer. The UK has licensed over £3 billion worth of fighter jets and bombs since it began its bombardment of Yemen two years ago… “
(Source: Campaign Against Arms Trade press release, “NATO summit: more weapons, war and interventionism will not make the world more secure”, 25 May 2017, https://www.caat.org.uk/media/press-releases/2017-05-25).
In their manifesto, The Labour Party and Jeremy Corbyn have committed to continue the arms trade; will they halt arms sales to Saudi Arabia in light of their bombardment of Yemen? No. Only that these arms sales will be “suspended”:
“In particular, Labour will demand a comprehensive, independent, UN-led investigation into alleged violations of IHL in Yemen, including air strikes on civilians by the Saudi-led coalition. We will immediately suspend any further arms sales for use in the conflict until that investigation is concluded”. (Labour Party Manifesto 2017, page 121).
Here are some more facts on Britain’s deadly trade, which Mr Corbyn refers to as “a legitimate trade in arms”:
“Government figures, compiled by Campaign Against Arms Trade (CAAT), show that the UK has licensed over £4.1 billion of arms to the Middle East since the last election in May 2015. Government figures show that two-thirds of UK arms exports go to the Middle East…. The UK has licensed arms to the following regimes:
     Saudi Arabia: £3.3 billion
 United Arab Emirates: £265 million
     Turkey: £175 million
     Qatar: £139 million
     Israel: £105 million
     Oman: £71 million
     Egypt: £65 million
     Jordan: £19 million
     Bahrain: £19 million
     Kuwait: £13 million
     Lebanon: £2.8 million
     Yemen: £266,000
(Source: Campaign Against Arms Trade press release, Last UK government licensed £4.1 billion of arms to Middle East since election in May 2015, 2 June 2017, https://www.caat.org.uk/media/press-releases/2017-06-02).
And what of “strong export controls”? This is no different to what happened under both New Labour and Conservative governments:
“The Governments’s talk of responsible rules on arms exports is a smokescreen for business as usual, with the “rules” used to legitimate, not limit, sales…Almost 10 years ago…CAAT was warning that “the Government’s arms export licensing system creates the image of control and benevolence” whilst allowing the Government to get on with business as usual…”
(Source:CAAT News, “Export Control? Facilitating Business As Usual”, April-June 2017,issue 244).
    On Palestine…
“Labour is committed to a comprehensive peace in the Middle East based on a two-state solution – a secure Israel alongside a secure and viable state of Palestine. There can be no military solution to this conflict and all sides must avoid taking action that would make peace harder to achieve. That means both an end to the blockade, occupation and settlements, and an end to rocket and terror attacks. Labour will continue to press for an immediate return to meaningful negotiations leading to a diplomatic resolution. A Labour government will immediately recognise the state of Palestine”. (Source: Labour Party Manifesto 2017, page 119-120)
The Labour Party are painting Israel and the Palestians as equals in the conflict when Israel in reality is by far the dominant party with its overwhelming and devastating military superiority and its systematic subjugation of the Palestinians. The Labour Party support for “…a secure Israel”, is code for Labour Party support for the Israeli state, a state based on apartheid, which stands against a real “diplomatic solution”.
This support for Israel is in fact a confirmation that Jeremy Corbyn and the Labour Party in fact, oppose a meaningful “state of Palestine”. Likewise Corbyn and the Labour Party do not oppose the sale of British arms to Israel – arms which can be used by the Israeli state, to suppress the Palestinian struggle, for a genuine solution to the denial of their national rights. This is rank dyed-in-the-wool imperialism.
    On British imperialism’s colonial possessions…
“We will always stand up for the rights, interests and self-determination of Britain’s overseas territories and their citizens…protecting the sovereignty of the Falkland Islands against anyone who would seek to challenge it…”. (Labour Party Manifesto 2017, page 120)
Here we have the Labour Party and Jeremy Corbyn openly espousing jingoism; the nationalistic, chauvinist and racist poison of the ruling class (“We will always stand up for… Britain’s overseas territories… against anyone who would seek to challenge it…”).
Jingoism is the war cry of British imperialism. It was prevalent during the Falklands War of the Thatcher era, (which Jeremy Corbyn is defending here) and New Labour’s wars. Jingoism is the enemy of the workers unity and struggle for their rights. Jingoism seeks to induce workers to abandon their independent outlook and struggle and line up behind the class aims of their enemies, the rich, and become cannon fodder in imperialist wars. Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party have accepted this role on behalf of the rich, as their own privileged position within society, is dependent on a share of the imperialist loot flowing into Britain, and from the exploitation of the working class here in Britain.

    On US imperialism…
“Since the Second World War, Britain’s most important diplomatic relationship has been with the US… that special relationship is based on shared values”. (Labour Party Manifesto 2017, page 119).
“….A Labour Government will want a strong and friendly relationship with the United States. But we will not be afraid to speak our mind. The US is the strongest military power on the planet by a very long way. It has a special responsibility to use its power with care and to support international efforts to resolve conflicts collectively and peacefully”.
(Source: Jeremy Corbyn Chatham House speech, 12 May 2017 Source: The Spectator; https://blogs.spectator.co.uk/2017/05/jeremy-corbyns-chatham-house-speech-full-text/))
Jeremy Corbyn’s criticism of the US or Donald Trump, is mere window dressing. In reality he is offering the US “…a strong and friendly relationship” as a junior partner in crime, in pursuit of US imperialism’s quest to dominate the world. Like previous Labour and Conservative governments, this path will only increase tension and conflict in the world. This policy poses a real threat to the world’s people and us here in Britain. Do we really believe that US imperialism will “…use its power with care and to support international efforts to resolve conflicts collectively and peacefully”?
Here is a succinct comment on these “shared values” of US and British imperialism and there devastating consequences:
“Whether it is the destruction of Iraq or the breakdown of Libya, it is civilians who suffer in war. The last 16 years of interventionism have not made any of us safer. They have failed in their own terms; having further destabilised an already unstable region while killing hundreds of thousands of people and contributing to the spread of extremism.
The summit follows Donald Trump’s visit to Saudi Arabia, in which he signed-off on an arms deal worth over $110 billion. Many of the NATO countries are among the largest arms exporters in the world”
(Source: Campaign Against Arms Trade press release, “NATO summit: more weapons, war and interventionism will not make the world more secure”, 25 May 2017, https://www.caat.org.uk/media/press-releases/2017-05-25).
    On NATO/EU…
NATO military bases around the world are used to launch aggression against other nations and peoples. NATO bases also pose a threat to the safety and territorial sovereignty of the British people. Despite Jeremy Corbyn’s link with Stop the War and previous campaigning for British withdrawal from NATO (as part of the Campaign for Non-Alignment); he is now a firm supporter of NATO, the war-mongering US-led military alliance.
“Alongside our commitment to NATO, we will continue to work with the EU on a range of operational missions to promote and support global and regional security”. (Labour Party Manifesto 2017, page 122).
“The last Labour government consistently spent above the NATO benchmark of 2 per cent of GDP. Conservative spending cuts have put Britain’s security at risk… Labour’s commitment to spending at least 2 per cent of GDP on defence will guarantee that our Armed Forces have the necessary capabilities to fulfil the full range of obligations, and ensure our conventional forces are versatile and able to deploy in a range of roles.” (Labour Party Manifesto 2017, page 123).
Labour are boasting of their past, so-called defence spending.Note the Labour Party commitment to “…ensure our conventional forces are versatile and able to deploy in a range of roles”. What “range of roles” have the Armed Forces carried out recently?…..invading and occupying Afghanistan and Iraq are two; the occupation of Iraq, shows how the Armed Forces are used to brutally impose a sectarian political process and state power on another nation, depriving people of their right to a livelihood, peace and security, to facilitate imperialist plunder by the rich and their corporations.
What about the 800 British troops recently deployed in Estonia as part of NATO rivalry with Russian imperialism?
“AM…we’ve got 800 troops have just been sent to Estonia because of worries about the Russians on the border. You were against that deployment. As Prime Minister, would you bring them back?
JC: Listen, we’d keep those troops there for the moment, but we
would use the opportunity of a newly-elected government to say,
look, we want to reduce tensions on the borders of Europe…
(Source: The Andrew Marr Show, BBC TV, Transcripts, 23.4.17; http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/bsp/hi/pdfs/23041703.pdf)
Jeremy Corbyn has changed his position from opposing to supporting their deployment.
    Air Strikes on Syria…
“AM: And when you speak to President Trump will you be telling
him that we will no longer be taking part in air strikes in Syria and
    Iraq?
JC: I will tell him that I want to see a process that brings about
the end to the conflicts in both those countries, and at the end of
    the day –
AM: Sorry, do you suspend those strikes or not?…
JC: I want us to say, ‘listen, let’s get people around the table
quickly. And the way of achieving that, suspend the strikes
    possibly, that’s one way…
Again, like with troop deployments, Jeremy Corbyn goes to some length to obscure his support for air strikes; his ruse is to appear to oppose air strikes by painting himself as a man of peace, while being highly ambiguous; he claims he will “suspend the strikes” but only, “possibly”.
(Source: The Andrew Marr Show, BBC TV, Transcripts, 23.4.17; http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/bsp/hi/pdfs/23041703.pdf)
    On drone strikes…
“AM: Well, the gentlemen in suits walk in, they said, ‘Prime
Minister Corbyn, we’ve got good news for you. Al-Baghdadi, the
leader of ISIS, we know where he is, we can take him out with a
drone strike, can we have your permission?’ What do you tell
    them?
JC: What I’d tell them is give me the information you’ve got, tell
me how accurate that is and tell me what you think can be
achieved by this. But the point –….
AM: Alright. Do you think killing the leader of Isis can be helpful
    for a political solution?
JC: I think the leader of Isis not being around would be helpful…”
(Source: The Andrew Marr Show, BBC TV, Transcripts, 23.4.17; http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/shared/bsp/hi/pdfs/23041703.pdf)
Jeremy Corbyn acknowledges that drone strikes kill civilians but is consenting to their continuation. Clearly his ‘political solution’ for Syria does not put the lives and well-being of ordinary Syrians centre stage but dovetails with the regime-change agenda of US-led imperialism, whatever the tragic consequences for the Syrian and British people.
What does CND say about drone strikes?
“International laws are being challenged as people
are being targeted and killed in countries on which
war has never been declared (e.g. Pakistan). Those
targeted by drones are deemed to be guilty of acts
such as terrorism and are killed with no opportunity
to make a case for their innocence or their lives.
Thousands have now been assassinated in this way.
Many civilians, including hundreds of children, have
become casualties after being caught up in the
    attacks…
CND is concerned that the use of drones threatens existing
economic, political, legal, moral and humanitarian constraints on
the conduct of war, and increases the likelihood of military
interventions. We are also very concerned about the develop –
ment of autonomous killer robots of any kind and call for
national and international steps to ensure that these systems are
outlawed. CND calls on governments and companies to end the
secrecy around military drone technology. We condemn the use
of drones for targeted assassinations and call for an end to their
use. It’s time to end this barbaric form of high tech killing”.
(Source: CND, “Armed drones –a human rights violation?”January 2015, http://cnduk.org/campaigns/item/download/247)
    In Conclusion:
Despite Jeremy Corbyn’s links with CND/Stop the War, his foreign policy agenda does not represent a break from the Conservatives or New Labour – it is the continuation of their pro-war agenda on behalf of the rich, the kleptocracy. Corbyn’s pro-war agenda will only deepen austerity as resources will continue to be siphoned from social programs and handed over to the arms companies, the arms trade, the military and military contractors, further distorting the economy and deepening the economic crisis. It represents a threat to peace and security, to people everywhere including Britain.
We need to continue to build opposition to all imperialist war-mongering, including Corbyn’s pro-war agenda, and fight for a peaceful and democratic foreign policy, for a genuine anti-war government, for an economy and society based on defending the rights of all.

In the USA, where I now live, the nation has, in my view, over time, become an oligarchy wrapped in a plutocracy where it appears that democracy is an illusion and policy seems to formulated around so called special interests. Living standards are at an all time low with many people I know working 2 or more jobs just to pay the bills while the richest 1% seem to be more of ruling class than an exceptional class/ Added to this, most people do not have access to health care due to the staggering costs and inefficiencies of a for profit private insurance system. For many, the American Dream is dead and can only be classed as a dream now as one has to be asleep to experience it. Social security appears to in peril with money from that fund used to fund current budget short falls and projected to run out of money in the next 13 years with the Dollar ( the global reserve currency) loosing value and purchasing power as the national debt blooms year after year. How did all this happen and why did all this happen? There are many explanations, but the amount of money required to run a political campaign and the total reliance on the free market along with the decline in living standards for the working class and the debt are indicative of the fact the an oligarchy is a reality and democracy an illusion. The same appears to be happening to the UK in the 10 years I have been away from it. It sees that life is becoming harder for most of us and the military seem to be a vital component in this equation in terms of the use of power and force used to effect policy more so in the USA where a permanent war economy exists with a Pentagon that appears to inhabit a wild, uncontrollable and violent life of its own. I feel that this century will be a turning point for all of us at some point. The global free market economy as we know seems to be untenable, the global population and related consumerism can not be sustained, Climate change has been ignored to the point that very soon, we will be able to little about it and we will live in a world of extreme weather and human displacement and instability on a scale we can yet only imagine. We will, eventually run out of oil and gas and have to rethink how we lived in the days prior to the resolution such resources brought us, and we will see increasingly violent wars, disputes and instability as a result of all of this unless there is sufficient political and collective moral will to demand action and change. I do not have children, but I do fear for all those that do and for their children, as we leave the coming generations a word of uncertainty.

    1. Davy Stephenson says:

      Hi Gary

I connect with most of your observations earlier apart from the Climate Change model. But the oil running out is pure propaganda, I know several people who drilled Wells the world over, who say there are literally hundreds of Wells capped and yet to be exploited, running out is only pushed as the elite create scarcity after scarcity and hype the prices.
What they are doing is retaining the ready energy by keeping it well hidden and safe underground, without liquid fuel they cannot fly around the skies where it is being controlled and without boots on the ground they cannot pull this off. Once the last places on earth are captured those who helped capture it will be surplus to requirements. A quick read of the CDC reports say it all.

      1. Garry H says:

        Hi, Davy.

Thanks for your reply. Do you have connections to the oil and gas industry then? I think back to that highly secret meeting Cheney had at the White House where many of the world`s leading energy corporation giants met some years ago (shall we call it the pre Trump era dark age?) where no derails of what was discussed at that meeting were released to the public…..one can only speculate, I suppose. What do you mean regarding your comment about climate change? Surely the science on that is definitive and irrefutable, is it not? We are at a tipping point where if we do not act now, we will see major changes to weather patterns on a massive scale. As for the oil and gas factor in modern corporate, political, geopolitical, economic and energy security spheres, I would say such resources are a key factor in the development of covert and overt actions and that they are indeed finite at some level. Thanks for the reply once more, Davy. Cheers. Garry.

        1. The deep state never ever tells the people what they are doing, from the birth of the Bank of England to the instituting of the Federal Reserve, have the public ever been told what is about to be unleashed upon them, this is the nature of their monetary and all encompassing beast.
I do know several people who have worked in the oil exploration and recovery, who have worked throughout the world, and they say there is lots more oil than we are being told, lots more, does anyone know how much Russia has just discovered fairly recently, I’m sure those who strive to own it do, and why we are seeing the demonisation of both Russia and Iran today on a wider and more regular basis.
On the AGW front, there are as much if not more non political scientists who don’t agree on the official level.
America was used like all other empires before it, to take over as the policemen of the world, after Europe was decimated and sickened by perpetual wars, and has now achieved their masters goal, and those who study the patterns of such a science know what we are now building up to face in the not too distant future; which can only take place if we help them do the sworded acts of violence that we today suffer because of the violence of our ancestors, but this cwill only happen again, if they don there military industrial and rancid uniform and road to their utopia and our road to hell.
          AGAIN.

  5. Garry H says:

Here are some things that could be wrong today that perhaps could help explain why things the way they are: 1: Instability in the free market economy and fiat currency creating a self perpetuating crisis that may well result in hyper inflation ad another serious global crisis. 2: An aging population that make an already strained social safety net system more untenable. 3: A total dependency of all industrialized nations on fossil fuels that are themselves finite and becoming scarce and the resulting geopolitics/wars and covert actions required to secure them and the resulting blow back that comes from such policies. 4: The resulting effects on the environment (global warming etc) from such energy dependency. 5: The power of lobbyist, special interests and multi national corporations that guide foreign and even domestic policy that secure energy security and the lack of political will or ability to address this imbalance and subversion of democracy. 6: A surging and unsustainable global population that (partly due to the oil age and the way it transformed life) puts further strain on finite resources and helps perpetuate points 1-6. 7: A love of consumerism that we are all guilty of that again helps perpetuate points 1-6 and the resulting apathy of the public who want to have their proverbial cake and eat it too. 8: Governments not being able to administer a country via simple revenue from taxation any longer and the reliance on borrowing money from unseen and undemocratic entities like the IMF and World Bank and the resulting inflation that this further creates (the Federal Reserve Bank in the USA for example is NOT a government entity but a private central bank that puts creates a money supply and lends it to the government at interest ….the UK was on the verge of bankruptcy in the early 1970s and bailed out by a IMF or WB loan.) 9: A general apathy of the public to get involved in politics due to the seemingly increasing irrelevance of any party as none can seem to make a real difference to the lives of ordinary people and address the issues as outlined above. 10: Finally, maybe we, the public are also to blame as we demand cheap energy, cheap petrol, cheap goods, expect to have the right to pop out as many kids as we seem fit, expect to be able to buy what we want and when we want without a thought about what that entails and where things come from and the burdens that places on both governments and all of us!

To gain true peace we must retrain our hands and minds outside of the “Military Industrial Complex”, who currently starve those hands of their infinate possiblity, how we do this is by a peaceful non compliance, not to fight for peace as we currently percieve it, but build it up as the alternative to true love towards each other and our environment.

      1. Never say that you can’t do something, or that something seems impossible, or that something can’t be done, no matter how discouraging or harrowing it may be; human beings are limited only by what we allow ourselves to be limited by: our own minds. We are each the masters of our own reality; when we become self-aware to this: absolutely anything in the world is possible.
Master yourself, and become king of the world around you. Let no odds, chastisement, exile, doubt, fear, or ANY mental virii prevent you from accomplishing your dreams. Never be a victim of life; be it’s conqueror.”

The perception of FEAR and offered protection seems to be both an effective and primitive method in controlling an electorate/population. Further, distractions and distortions of domestic hardships by laying the blame of such issues on the door step of immigrants, benefit cheats and others also seems highly effective in miss direction of possible alternative explanations……OILIGARCHY!!

Hi, Davy. He does seem a very perceptive ands articulate young man and not the usual YouTube idiot Wannabes as seems to be the case. I will enjoy watching more of his insightful posts. There are many things right with our great country and the US where I now live as well as there are many, many things wrong with them. Main stream media is not the place to seek clarity on such matters! All the best.

I cant help but wonder if we will ever learn the real truth behind so called terror attacks. I find it odd that the individuals concerned were known, in some capacity, to MI 5 as in previous attacks. further. after the turmoil of Brexit and now an approaching general election, such events seem almost too unreal to be factual. After years of personal research, reasoning, and the multitude of credible people who offer alternative narratives to the events of 911, I came to the personal conclusion that the terror attack thatchanged everythinghad to be have been a so calledinside job. It sounds ridiculous even to me, but I really find it so very difficult to accept anything I see on main stream media anymore. I live in the United States, and corporate media here dictated the political narrative to such a degree that people are no longer capable of autonomous critical thinking....as long as they have a smart phone in their hand and consumer goods available to them, they dont seem to care about their declining living standards, that they don`t have health care like all developed nations, that the Pentagon eats money faster than an immature celebrity actor, and that the nation is now an oligarchy and not the great representative democracy that it was supposed to be. My thoughts are with my native Britain today and those that have died in this abhorrent event just as they are with the millions of good, decent. hard working Americans who seem to be struggling so much just to pay the bills and live a life that brings some quality and meaning.

  8. Davy Stephenson says:

The recent terror attack in Manchester is being used to keep the lid on the situation using their Tory whip, who are trying to stop Brexit from happening, so let me get straight to the point.
The Tory party are currently under the rule of an Australian propagandist who is secretly and covertly destroying our own military in favour of an unelected EU army, basically if the Tories get in our military will be assimilated and we won’t have a decent one left to protect us at all and the peaceful non compliance many here are calling for will be a total waste of time as the new EU army will not be loyal to anyone.
They will send British troops to quell plwces in Europe and EU variants to quell here in the UK, this model has been used throughout history for hundreds if not thousands of years and these troops will readily turn on non natives quite easily.

May is now using the current position of an ill or non formed government and we are in a very vulnerable situation, she will use the cover of this situation to bring in snap unregulated decisions because our Parliament is at its lowest and most disorganised ebb.
We are now in a most vulnerable position as we have ever been, yet no MSM outlet is talking about this fact or facts.

      Muddled thinking. I totally disagree.

        Time will tell.

  9. Thank you for expressing the truth so clearly. I wrote today to David Mundell as i wrote from Scotland and he’s the only Tory there.

I said we could expect the law of reaping what you sow to keep on working. And that we need to tell the truth about this instead of lying. But he’s part of the War System, sadly.

Today i’m more on fire to resist the lies; i hope and pray that good numbers of people will be persuaded to see reality as they read your words, Ben.

  10. Well said Ben. Just as the ‘west’ (39 nations in Iraq) shreds little ones, it also shreds international law. The Nuremberg Protocols put some Nazi’s in the dock and some in the noose, We ignore those – completely. The UK was one of the 50 original signatories of the Charter of the UN. That, like Nuremberg, forbids aggressive war.

The public are swayed to support these most cruel wars using very powerful black propaganda. Consider the manner in which the BBC promoted the war on Iraq – Hussein the devil with weapons of mass destruction’.

See how the public mind is warped in order to send our forces out to kill and be killed. Another human becomes a ‘rag head’, a WOG. The ‘other’, a lower order, one of the untermenschen. And dehumanised, easy to forget the people being bombed in Sirte.

These words are very important – Milton Mayer

“What no one seemed to notice was the ever widening gap between the government and the people. And it became always wider…..the whole process of its coming into being, was above all diverting, it provided an excuse not to think….for people who did not want to think anyway gave us some dreadful, fundamental things to think about…..and kept us so busy with continuous changes and ‘crises’ and so fascinated…..by the machinations of the ‘national enemies,’ without and within, that we had no time to think about these dreadful things that were growing, little by little, all around us…..

“Each step was so small, so inconsequential, so well explained or, on occasion, ‘regretted,’ that unless one understood what the whole thing was in principle, what all these ‘little measures’…..must some day lead to, one no more saw it developing from day to day than a farmer in his field sees the corn growing…..Each act is worse than the last, but only a little worse. You wait for the next and the next.

“You wait for one great shocking occasion, thinking that others, when such a shock comes, will join you in resisting somehow. You don’t want to act, or even talk, alone…..you don’t want to ‘go out of your way to make trouble.’ But the one great shocking occasion, when tens or hundreds or thousands will join with you, never comes.

“That’s the difficulty. The forms are all there, all untouched, all reassuring, the houses, the shops, the jobs, the mealtimes, the visits, the concerts, the cinema, the holidays. But the spirit, which you never noticed because you made the lifelong mistake of identifying it with the forms, is changed. Now you live in a world of hate and fear, and the people who hate and fear do not even know it themselves, when everyone is transformed, no one is transformed.

“You have accepted things you would not have accepted five years ago, a year ago, things your father…..could never have imagined.”

Well put David, there is lots more coming in the pipeline if we turn our eyes to slumber, let’s see what the team at UK Column have just discovered today that tateramounts to treason if enact which Parliament is in sleep mode.

    2. David Marchesi says:

I find it a pity that this Hitlerian website is cited in these columns, my first reaction being that D.S. would disavow the (hacked) reference, but it appears that revisionist rage has gripped him.

  11. Dan Shea says:

I couldn’t have said it any better.
Yes let’s refuse to participate at every level and abandon the War System.

In so doing we need to eliminate War Profiteering for power, status & wealth.

    Thank You VFP UK
