Handbook Amendments

This year we have only one handbook amendment to be discussed and voted on. It is as follows:

7.2.4 Membership Secretary

Ensures the integrity of our membership records.

7.2.4 Communications Coordinator

Coordinates the running of all online platforms for VFP UK

[The PG has found that it has become necessary to have someone to oversee the running of all of our online platforms. The role of Membership Secretary will be absorbed by the National Coordinator]

I’m looking forward to seeing you at the AGM

Danny Beever

  1. Michael John Elstub says:

I agree with Ben, members are our most important asset. I think a membership secretary is a very important role and should not be confused with the role of national coordinator. I say this even if it means an extra position on Policy Group

  2. Ben Griffin says:

May I suggest that the task carried out by the membership secretary is one of vital importance.

“Ensures the integrity of our membership records”.

VFP credibility relies on ensuring that the membership are verified military veterans.

The point of having an elected membership secretary is to have someone directly responsible for the membership records.

If you do wish to do away with the position of Membership Secretary then the task “Ensures the integrity of our membership records” should not disappear from the handbook but be specifically assigned to another member of he Policy Group.
